"The Binding force " or "Feeling the world "
New Practitioners
A self note I really want to discuss I’m not an expert and I don’t know much
I was watching the old Tensegrity videos while in heightened awareness. I started philosophically creating terms or commands to replace "inner body" "subtle body" or "Ativahiki Sharir" as mentioned in Sanskrit. I am convinced that all these "command" terms fall short when compared to the term(s) "Feeling the binding force" or "Feeling the world".
To explain, I can attest that it’s the act of practicing "FEELING MORE " that’s more important than the terms used but i questioned "feel to what extent?" And that’s where I believe "feeling the binding force" can better substitute"Feeling the world". As opposed to "Ativahiki Sharira” , "inner body" or "subtle body" which are limiting terms confined to having form (because we’re a luminous ball of energy).
So tensegrity had been working on my subtle energetic centers by allowing me to feel energy I rarely felt. Undoubtedly it does have an effect (especially the first time I’ve tried 12basic passes , i had super sight feeling and smell. I wonder why?). But I wanted something I can hold all day long and all night long. And I get the term feeling the world sorta of inspirational and confusing.
TO CLARIFY MORE
I start by feeling each and every energy or whatever there is to feel "binding" me together from head to toe. (Even while doing things)
Lower parts of the body are easiest felt. The "stirring the glow of awareness" pass mentioned that most of our awareness is in our lower body mainly THE FEET. Therefore I FEEL more on the upper to fill empty parts via Feeling and I hold.
Lastly if I retreat from my tasks or such and remain still then the beam "attention" intensifies "outwardly" from the force binding my body to what binds reality. I don’t quite know how I’ve managed this stage but it comes with constantly feeling. I could say sometimes it feels dreamy
I’ve been practicing silence on command but this really hosts the whole practice. Well any thoughts on the proposal of "Feeling the binding force? And where the "mastery of intent" falls in this whole thing.

Can you describe the details behind how you enter heightened awareness? Is it repeatable or is this a one-time occurrence?
It’s only shutting the internal dialogue off (long enough) to get "silent" or "connect.
I can be doing stuff and still get there
You don’t have to sit in one spot and stress about it.
Okay so you are successful in reaching the orange zone then, is that what you are saying?
No, I only shut off the internal dialogue. I started DR recently but I’ll definitely use it in the dark and see how far the meter runs
So you just started darkroom and yet you are somehow able to reach heightened awareness. Simply shutting off internal dialogue doesn't seem like enough to get to heightened awareness...but what do I know, I haven't reached that level yet. I'm sure many of us are keen to know specifics on how you are able to get to heightened awareness so quickly. How about you create a post to document your steps to get silent and induce heightened awareness? I must also ask how you are so sure that what you are experiencing is heightened awareness.
Dark room is a silence meter and an exploration tool for the double to come out. Where as "Heightened awareness" is simply being more silent than usual it’s just shutting off the internal dialogue. Perhaps a another forum have hijacked the term and redefined it. It’s Simply feeling more nothing else. It’s not like I’m so far gone because I described I was watching the videos. And I would know because I am feeling it.
How about you make a post and teach me how to do things the way you want them
Simply being more silent than usual is not "heightened awareness". I'm not sure where you got that definition from; Dan describes heightened awareness as "enlightenment".
There is a whole section on HA here: https://www.reddit.com/r/castaneda/wiki/terminology/heightened_awareness/
Being more silent than usual and shutting off the internal dialogue is a prerequisite for seeing the very initial vague puffs and clouds in the darkroom.
Thanks for pointing it out, I haven’t read that heightened awareness had been defined
I really don't care for the insertion of aryuvedic verbiage in your post.
You can certainly find answers to your questions if you truthfully abide by the intent of this reddit community, and apply yourself to engage in dark room gazing, daylight gazing, tensegrity, dreaming, and recapitulation practices.
Silence is golden, indeed. How long does your silence practice last?
I don’t time myself & I don’t know. I force silence all the time on and off as much as possible. If it’s darkroom then 2hrs or 1hr is enough. Tensegrity 30 minutes (on and off) casually (in the dark) and for recapitulation I rarely do it
One of our mods marked your post SPOILER, because they feel that you’re trying to skip ahead or veering into pretending.
Feeling things from the second attention, somatic sensation, is just as valid as sight in darkroom. Like smell. But you’re probably reaching too much with your expectations.
Keep striving for deeper silence, and that will solve it.
Or the mod just didn’t appreciate you bringing up those terms at all, and would have preferred just labeling it as “to replace terms from other systems.”
Even mentioning those out loud or in text invokes traces of intent that lingers and can affect practice at deeper levels. It complicates things.
Thanks I will practice deeper
Sorry for veering ahead or pretending I should be careful not to pretend. I will try not to complicate things. It’s the results which matter
