“Chatterbox Monkey Mind : The Easiest Way I Found to Stop Runaway Thoughts
Sharing something from personal experience.
I noticed that every time a thought arises, just before it fully verbalizes in my mind, there’s a brief moment when I already understand the complete gist of it what it means, its feeling, its intention. Strangely, once the thought turns into words, it often loses its core essence and spirals into unnecessary chatter.
So I figured what if I catch the thought at that pre-verbal stage? If I fully acknowledge it before it turns into words, I can stop it from verbalizing and in doing so, stop it altogether before it even begins.
This approach not only helps quiet the monkey mind, but it also gives me a clearer awareness of the thought’s true essence before it gets diluted by internal narration.
It’s tricky at first to catch a thought before it verbalizes, but with practice, it becomes easier.
Curious if anyone else has noticed this. What do you think?
P.S. Summarise and improved with chatgpt.”

It's true, but that should be what you discover the first week of practice.
You didn't go on to discover more, so that leads me to believe you aren't actually practicing. Just seeking attention.
And don't worry about being banned by the Zen folks.
Zen is a total fraud. They don't know anything at all about "the mind".
They get some mediocre meditation effects that even Catholics who pray the rosary get. Then they self-flatter, hoping to get an endorsement and their own franchise, lording it over other people.
That's what they're after. Lording it over others as "enlightened".
But they don't even get as much of a result as hitting the snooze button in the morning, and laying there half asleep will get you.
Zen is just a Chinese crime syndicate (Buddhism), translated for the oppressive, hazing oriented Japanese social order.
You're wasting your time over there.
And clearly didn't put any time looking around in here.
The best way to quiet the internal dialogue, is by looking at intense MAGIC, fully visible in the air.
Anything short is unlikely to do you any good beyond "Zen" effects.
There's a reason the Zen people claim you can reach enlightenment flipping burgers or shooting arrows.
Because enlightenment is just pretending.

Agree on the first part. I just discovered this and the reason I posted on other subs is not to get attention but to get different point of view and see if other people have experience the same or have similar view so they can guide better and have a discussion.
Everyone has right to practice whatever they believe in whether it's zen or whatever and should respect their views as well. I don't agree on anything you said about zen and since you jumped to conclusions about me without knowing anything about my practice, I’ll assume you may be doing the same regarding Zen itself.

So you truly didn't look around in here...
You came to the door of actual magic, where no one wants your money, but you were too stubborn or hungry for attention, to even take a look.
If you did, you'd eventually realize that all magic and religion in the world is currently a fraud, designed to steal your money.
Money was the downfall of real knowledge of consciousness and reality.
It's totally obvious if you just look around honestly at what others are teaching, and then compare to what Olmec shamanism does, with a group right here for you to learn in.
Where you can see that it's true with pictures and videos and detailed instructions, and people succeeding in doing what Zen masters would deny is possible.
I studied under the famous Joshu Sasaki in LA back when he was a mere 68 years old. He lived to 104 or so.
He said, "don't expect to fly to the sun!"
But then, I fly to the sun all the time, and for real! Not closed eyes.
Awake, eyes wide open. There's even pictures in here.
If you DON'T "fly to the sun", what you're practicing is a fraud.
If what I say isn't true, point to a web page where actual magic is being one in a group, and you can look and see it's true.
Show us why you believe what you just said.
Meanwhile, just go away... Come back when you actually want to change yourself, and get tired of going from one fake religion to the other.

First step of pretty much every practice is curtailing internal dialogue and that’s exactly what my post was about, based on personal experience.
You may have gone way further in your practice, which is honestly impressive. But that doesn’t mean everyone just starting out, or finding their own way, is automatically wrong or clueless.
What I shared had nothing to do with religion or any specific system. Whether I agree or disagree with Zen or any other teaching is my personal choice just like it’s your choice what you follow. I don’t expect anyone else to pick the same path I do.
Even if some practices are flawed, most people get into them with the sincere hope of improving themselves, based on what they know and where they are at the time. Mocking people for that says more about the mocker than the practitioner.
I respect that this is the Castaneda sub, and I’m here with an open mind to learn but I’m not here to be talked down to

Please... Zen doesn't involve curtailing inner dialogue. Shikantaza isn't curtailing inner dialogue and neither is koan practice...
So that is Zen crossed off the list.

You're seriously confused, and too angry to notice when you stumbled on the real thing.
Here, watch a video. It's a real account of people's experiences, using this form of magic.
I do even more than that, daily!
