So i collected all that i know about different bands of energy or worlds.
So don Juan said that there are 48 bands of energy total and that only 8 of them hold awareness. So the 8 bands is the only ones one can "experience". And one of those 8 is of course our world.
So one of the thing we get to know about these worlds is that they operate on different time scales. Don Juan said that when he stayed in the black world ( the band closest to ours), by staying there for what felt like a year was only couple days in our world.
Silvio manuel was know for beeing in a world with the opposite effect. He felt as if only he had been in that other world for couple minutes, but a long time had passed in our world.
What we also know about these worlds/bands from the book is that they where populated by different types of inorganic beings. That's why they are also called OBI worlds.
The other things we know about them is that the "black world", was the easiest world to move your AP to of them all. This was the world that Carlos needed to shift his AP to in order to survive the jump into the abyss.
Then we also have the world wich Carlos frequently went to in dreaming wich i belive also was the "black world"?
I meen the world with the tunnels, in "the art of dreaming"
And we also know that scouts can take you to these worlds.
Ok so here comes my question. Who has ever been to the specific world with tunnels wich Carlos talked about?
For me I just never understood what those world where, and if the "black world" really is the world that Carlos went in dreaming.
?

I have been in a tunnel before, apparently:

This animator may have been, who knows?:

And tunnels in our world can lead to others, potentially:

the tunnel I went thru had the same colors like. Like a rings of brown and black, it was wavy.
I ended up in what it looks like a college room.

The famous cheese slice sketch Carlos made. Our slice is sort of in the middle, but he wasn't very accurate in his diagram:
I'm quite interested in figuring out how far into the other bands on either side, our awareness can shine as we shift horizontally. But we don't have specific info on that.
But where do the other 40 fit in???
> So one of the thing we get to know about these worlds is that they operate on different time scales.
Man, good reasoning. You should program computers! There's a lot of very obvious things in the books, but people get obsessed with hunting for lizards, or honoring "don Juan's memory" by being "impeccable", and don't think about the bulk of all of the books.
They get a book deal going in their mind, and ignore anything that doesn't fit with that narrow minded view, which holds them together emotionally in life.
Carlos left little "clues" in there, or intent did, and it's going to take a larger community of "thinkers" to dig them out.
> This was the world that Carlos needed to shift his AP to in order to survive the jump into the abyss.
So he cheated by passing between worlds?
Why couldn't you use a friendly IOB world to do that? I spend a long time in those at night. Seems pretty safe.
It's almost so common place, I'll look up from what I'm doing, see Fancy's ice cave, and nod to a creature sticking out of a wall in there, "Hey Bob."
Then go back to what I was doing.

Carol Tiggs pushed me in there. In private classes.
I literally fell right through the wooden floor, and into a dirt tunnel.
I've been back there several times since, and could probably even find it on purpose, if it seemed worth visiting.
Twice I got an elaborate history lesson there. You can see it in this picture:
Best "J" diagram/picture ever! Thanks. I was wondering what you guys where talking about.
The tragedy of that diagram is, Carlos was dying, so he came up with a way for us to move our assemblage point, without a Nagual around.
To the same destination as the Nagual's blow!
But none of the Cleargreens seems to teach that.
Two of their own moved all the way along that curve, just before the workshop where they replaced the Chacmools with the 2 new women.
Where do these 40 worlds fit in?
The 40 bands are bands that hold no awareness. You probably remember when don Juan talked about the difference between the Unknow and the Unknowable.
The Unknow is whithinn the 8 and the Unknowable is the 40 rest. Basically we can not perceive the 40 others. They to uss are just empty void.
There's also the very weird situation of changing your shape. Most don't remember this from the books, but the old sorcerers liked to change the shape of their luminous shell from egglike, to pipe like. The pipe stem could reach up into emanations they could not normally reach.
But the new worlds they could access that way were still all in the human unknown range.
The new seers deviated at that point. Up until then they copy the old sorcerers exactly, which is necessary in order to follow the only intent we have.
We have to get on those old rusty railroad tracks, and ride them until we reach the end.
The new seers then stretch their shape into what seems to be an infinite line, so they can explore the non-human unknown.
But how???
I don't know, but I suspect it's automatic, if you heed the advice of Carlos.
Could be something to do with learning to perceive the abstract.
I dive into a tunnel after some darkroom practice. I was really lucid of what was going on.
Recapitulation + darkroom practice WILL give you enough energy to go thru tunnel (if desire)
